CARRBORO, NC –Piedmont Health Services launched a vehicle donation program to allow community members to give back to the community health center in a different way.

The vehicle donation program accepts unused cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles or boats that are no longer wanted. Piedmont Health will tow the vehicle at no cost to the owner to make the donation convenient. Piedmont Health will sell the vehicle and the funds will help the center with costs. All donations to the vehicle donation program will be a tax deduction because Piedmont Health Services is a non-profit organization.

Friends of Piedmont is the donation program for Piedmont Health but this program widens the range of people that can donate while expanding the ways people are able to donate. Though cash donations are still accepted, the vehicle donation program offers variety in the form of donation accepted.

Piedmont Health has offered primary care in areas of medical, dental, pharmacy, nutrition (WIC) and health support since 1970. The community health center provided 40,000 people with healthcare they could afford in 2012.
